This initiative is a collaborative community support initiative designed to assist active farmers from HIE Municipality in replacing damaged greenhouse linings. The initiative involves financial contribution from SHARRCEM through LAB Project, and the farmers themselves.

The greenhouse restoration initiative led by Mr. Hysen Shabanaj and supported by SHARRCEM is a model of effective community collaboration in the face of natural disasters. By sharing the financial burden, ensuring transparent processes, and conducting a competitive tender, the initiative not only addresses the immediate need for infrastructure replacement but also reinforces the bonds between local farmers and supporting organizations. This proactive approach demonstrates a strong commitment to the sustainability and resilience of the agricultural community, paving the way for future cooperative efforts in times of crisis.

The expected outcomes of this initiative include:

Restoration of Greenhouses

Successful replacement and assembly of new linings for 12 greenhouses, enabling farmers to resume their vegetable cultivation activities.

Financial Relief for Farmers

The financial burden on farmers is reduced due to the 50% contribution from SHARRCEM through LAB project, allowing them to invest in the recovery process more manageably.

Enhanced Community Support

Strengthening the relationship and trust between the local farming community and supporting organizations like SHARRCEM and LAB.

Transparency in the Process

By involving a farmer representative in the bidding process, the initiative ensures transparency, building trust in the community and among stakeholders.
