TITAN SHARRCEM:

TITAN SHARRCEM, Kosovo’s sole cement plant, is a cornerstone of the country’s industrial and economic progress. Founded in 1936 with a single vertical kiln, it has grown into a symbol of resilience, innovation, and excellence.

Since 2010, as part of the global TITAN Group, TITAN SHARRCEM has integrated advanced practices and a strong culture of responsibility, integrity, and sustainable growth.

Located in Hani i Elezit, with a subsidiary office in Prishtina, it plays a vital role in Kosovo’s infrastructure development. Our operations cover the production, transportation, and distribution of cement, aggregates, and mortars, with recent expansion into trading chemical admixtures for concrete.

We source our raw materials from the Dimce and Seqishte quarries. At the same time, we actively advance circular economy principles by using alternative resources and materials that reduce our environmental footprint and promote sustainable production.

With more than 200 dedicated employees and a broad network of partners, we combine technology and precision at every production stage. Our focus goes beyond output, it is about creating lasting value for society and the environment. We advance clean energy solutions, responsible sourcing, and inclusive workplaces. Through innovation, TITAN SHARRCEM contributes to sustainable growth and the UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030.

Sharrcem was established, laying the foundation for decades of innovation and growth.

A major upgrade with a rotary kiln and satellite cooler increased production to 180,000 tons annually.

Investments in the rotary kiln further enhanced production capacity, securing ongoing growth.

Sharrcem entered state privatization, beginning a ten-year leasing period and a new chapter.

Sharrcem joined Titan Group, launching modernization efforts to meet international standards.

The Kosovo CSR Network was founded by Sharrcem, reinforcing its sustainable investment goals.

Sharrcem achieved ISO 9001 certification, launched a CO2 management system, and expanded its focus on Kosovo's market.

Environmental and safety certifications (ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001) and the first audited CSR report established Sharrcem as a transparency leader.

Sharrcem secured Kosovo’s first IPPC permit, launched safety projects, and automated operations for environmental and worker safety.

Innovations in production, quarry rehabilitation, and the SA 8000 certification highlighted Sharrcem’s focus on sustainability and social responsibility.

Key projects like a new stretch hood machine and wastewater treatment reflected Sharrcem’s commitment to environmental and employee well-being.

Record cement production, LAB project expansion, and national recognition as a top taxpayer showcased Sharrcem's community and industrial leadership.

Employee development through the 'unITe people' platform and accolades for health, safety, and CSR underscored Sharrcem's positive impact.

Youth initiatives, workforce training, and international recognition for the LAB project emphasized Sharrcem’s commitment to growth and safety.

Sharrcem advanced community support with SPEEEX, transitioned to ISO 45001 standards, and maintained its safety leadership.

SAP project implementation streamlined operations, and Sharrcem earned recognition as 'Taxpayer of the Year.'

Recertifications in safety and environmental standards reflected Sharrcem’s focus on sustainable growth and employee collaboration.

Sharrcem won the Best Plant award, completed the SAP project, and finalized AI-powered real-time optimization for mill and kiln operations.

Advanced digital learning, renewed our IPPC permit, launched a state-of-the-art Concrete Laboratory, became the exclusive local representative of Chryso admixtures, and introduced the Frozen Music Project, blending innovation, sustainability, and creativity.
